- Globally available by placing its Data houses in geo-synchronous data centers.
- Open source since it supports most of the OS, language, tool and framework.
Needs of Azure:
- Advanced site recovery and Built-in integration.
- Minimal onsite maintenance and operational costs.
- No data loss fear.

How does Azure works?
Azure uses a technology called virtualization. It separates the tight coupling between the computer os and computer CPU. This is done by virtualization using a thin abstract layer called hypervisor. The hypervisor done all the work of computer and the computer’s CPU in a virtual machine.
Like this a number of virtual machine can be run on the virtual machine at the same time. The number of machine can have different OS running in the virtual machine. Microsoft Azure takes this concept and repeats this in a massive scale through the Microsoft data centers around the world.
Each of the data centers has many racks filled with servers. In turn each server has a hypervisor. This can run multiple virtual machines. The servers are then connected by the network switch. The server in each row of the stack run special piece of software called fabric controller.
