Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Backend Developer to join our team.

What you'll bring to Seminal| Pikcha:

• Degree qualified with a major in Software Engineering or Computing
• Proven track record of at least 3 years industry experience building scalable.Net Core mobile or web applications
• Strong.Net Coredevelopment experience in building and modifyingREST APIand API integration with third parties.
• Excellent understanding ofEntity Framework core, MySQL, Docker, and CI/CD
• Advanced skills in usingGitfor version control and issue tracking
• Experience withTest-Driven Development(TDD), Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, general reliability, and security.
• Ability to write clean, meaningful, and useful documentation
• A strong understanding of cloud computing infrastructure design, either withAWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
• A good understanding of JavaScript concepts and syntax (ES6)
• Industry exposure to front-end frameworks, either React.JS or Angular.JS
• Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and in teams in an agile environment
• Willingness to conduct independent research and quickly pick up new technologies
• A high level of energy, a keen desire to learn new concepts, and a positive attitude

What you'll do in Seminal| Pikcha:

• Designing and developing software using the following languages and tools: ASP.Net, .Net Core, MVC, C#, Amazon Web Services (Appmesh, EC2, S3, SQS, SES, lambda) HTML, CSS, JavaScript through the front-end library React.JS
• Providing guidance and expertise in software development strategies and actively participating in weekly stand-up, brainstorming, and software design activities.
• Developing and maintaining industry standards while developing cloud-based applications by configuring and consuming Amazon Web services.
• Maintaining code base using version controlling services and tools like GitHub, SourceTree, and mercurial and working on achieving continuous integration using industry-standard CI/CD pipeline tools.
• Providing technical support, investigating issues, debug features and bugs to solve and improve functionality.
• Refactoring Legacy code base, identifying technology limitations.
• Design database, write MySQL query to efficiently create, update, delete or retrieve the data from the database.
• Liaise with the Growth Marketing team to identify trends in user uptake.
• Collaborate with the Product and Design team to design, resource, and implement software.
